Illinois Retail Merchants Association Releases Social Distancing Guidance for Retailers

Illinois Retail Merchants Association Releases Social Distancing Guidance for Retailers

From Governor JB Pritzker - "Since our previous announcement about grocery stores offering dedicated hours to older and more vulnerable shoppers, we’ve continued to work with the Illinois Retail Merchants Association to make shopping a safer experience — resulting in new best practices that grocers will be rolling out in the coming days.

To be clear, there’s nothing new that customers need to know before shopping other than to be vigilant about their social distance.

It's up to each individual to follow these requirements.

Please be courteous and respectful to our grocery store workers — especially as they go to work every day when so many are staying home and especially if they ask you to comply with one of these guidelines.

Remember, they’re looking out for you as much as they are themselves or anyone else."
