Blood Pressure Screening

Blood Pressure Screening

Ford County Public health Department offers free blood pressure screenings to all Ford County residents. Screenings can be obtained at the health department during normal business hours. Walk-ins are welcome, but it is preferred individuals contact the office first to ensure a nurse is available.

High blood pressure increases the risk for heart disease and stroke, two leading causes of death for Americans. High blood pressure is also very common. Tens of millions of adults in the United States have high blood pressure, and many do not have it under control.

High blood pressure is often called the silent killer. High blood pressure usually has no symptoms, so the only way to know if you have it is to get your blood pressure measured.
